<!-- FH = Culley's MeadowWood -->Bonnie Clark DavisBonnie Clark Davis, age 69, died Friday, November 23, 2012 at the Hospice House (a division of the Visiting Nurse Health System) in Atlanta, Georgia. Diagnosed with cancer in March 2012, Bonnie faced treatment with grace and determination, supported by the constant love and prayers of many friends and family. Bonnie was born February 18, 1943, in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, to Martin "Johnny" Lum Clark and Mamie Cornelius Clark. After earning a Master's Degree in Education from the University of Alabama, Bonnie moved to Ft. Walton Beach, where she met and married her husband, Robert Davis. When Bob opened Southern Tire and Service in 1975, Tallahassee became their home.Bob and Bonnie's life was filled with many wonderful friends and the joys of their children: son, Chris and daughter, Forrest. Bonnie had a zest for life and was always willing to try something new. She taught at Trinity Catholic School for over 30 years where she not only touched the lives of many children but also developed many lifelong friendships.Bonnie's true gift was that of friendship, and she is remembered for her ability to bring people together. Bonnie filled her life with teaching, volunteering, gardening, church and traveling. She devoured books and never missed an opportunity to see a movie. She did all these things with many friends by her side. Bonnie's greatest love, however, was becoming a grandmother. She was immersed in the lives of her four grandchildren, Marley Camille Davis, Emily Forrest Caton, Hardy Bourgeois Davis, and Camille Karen Caton. Nothing gave "Bebe" more joy than spending time with her grandchildren; she was often shuttling one of the kids to an activity, playing games, making costumes or simply curled up reading with one of them. Each child carries a special trait that he or she clearly inherited from "Bebe." Survivors include Bonnie's son and daughter-in-law, Christopher Spalding Davis and Susan Marie Davis of Santa Rosa Beach; her daughter and son-in-law, Forrest Davis Caton and Robert Emil Caton, Jr. of Atlanta; her mother, Mamie Cornelius Clark; two siblings, Camille Clark Hartley and Johnny Robin Clark; and brother-in-law Ronald Gene Hartley, all of Tuscaloosa, Alabama; four grandchildren, Marley C. Davis and Hardy B. Davis of Santa Rosa Beach; and Emily F. Caton, and Camille K. Caton of Atlanta.Bonnie's father, Martin Lum Clark, and her husband, Robert Spalding Davis, preceded Bonnie in death. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM, EDT, Friday, November 30, 2012 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Tallahassee. A reception for friends and family will follow the service in the Parish Hall.A burial service will be held at 1:00 PM at Culley's MeadowWood Memorial Park at 700 Timberlane Road, also in Tallahassee. In lieu of flowers, gifts in memory may be made to the Trinity Catholic Scholarship Fund at Trinity Catholic School, 706 East Brevard Street, Tallahassee, Florida 32308.
