Bobby Lee "Dirt" Williams SPARTANBURG, SC-- Mr. Bobby Lee "Dirt" Williams, husband of Loretta Elaine Williams, and the son of Ms. Helen Williams and the late Mr. Thomas Jones, was born in Spartanburg, SC, on March 16, 1952. He peacefully entered eternal rest on December 29, 2012. "Dirt" was a devoted member of Mt. Moriah Baptist Church, where he was a member of the Men's Choir, the Usher Board, Monday Church School, as well as the March Birthday Club. he was retired from service with Mr. Al Lynch, Tindall Concrete and Chapman Grading and Concrete. "Dirt", as he was affectionately called by family and friends, leaves to cherish loving memories, in addition to his wife of 35 years: one son, Mr. Kendrick (Annika) Williams; and one daughter, Mrs. Terrie (Ted) Drummond, both of Spartanburg, SC; one brother, James Wilkes; five sisters, Ms. Doris Shelton, Mrs. Bernice (Robert) Evans, Mrs. Rosena (Aaron) Miller, Ms. Peggy Ann Williams and Ms. Sandra Williams, all of Spartanburg, SC; eleven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two nieces reared in the home, Michelle (Johnny) Gray and Angela Wheeler; three special aunts, Mrs. Peggy Rice, Mrs. Sarah Williams and Mrs. Jean (Lawrence) Hall; a special sister, Rose (Michael) Thomas; a special son, Tyrone Scott of New York City; a host of additional nieces, nephews, cousins, other loving relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Shavonne Byrd; one brother, Ladson Williams; and one sister, Beverly Wilks. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 5, 2013, at 2:00 p.m. at the Mt. Moriah Baptist Church. Dr. B.D. Snoddy will officiate. Burial will be in the Heritage Memorial Gardens.
