BOATRIGHT Mary Ann Boatright, age 78, of Jacksonville, FL, passed away Tuesday, July 13th at her sons residence in Alma after an extended illness. She was a native of Jacksonville, FL. Mary was daughter of the late James Rafuse and Pearl Teston Rafuse; preceded in death by her husband, Sammy Boatright, son Tom Wesley Pless and several brothers and sisters. She was a member of Victory Baptist Church in Jacksonville, FL. Survivors include three sons, Leonard Frank Bell of Jacksonville, FL, John Wesley Pless and Sam (Hipp) Boatright (Tammie) of Alma, one daughter, Pat Rigby (Roger) of Alma, two brothers, Russell and Truman Rafuse of Jacksonville, FL, one sister, Bernice Starling of Jacksonville, FL, thirteen grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Friday, July 16, 2010 at Martha Memorial Methodist Church at 2:00 PM with Rev. R. B. Gaskins, Rev. John Bagley, Rev. Pet Hayes officiating and eulogy by Angel Jones. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at Martha Memorial Methodist Church Friday from 12:00 PM until funeral time. Active pallbearers will be; Hipp Boatright, John Pless, Derek Pless, Todd Jones, Scott Crosby and Roger Rigby. Honorary pallbearers will be; Dr. Harrison Carter & Staff, Hospice Satilla, All Employees of Boatright Trucking and all others in attendance. Crosby Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
