GALWAY Mrs. Blanche Olive Wright, 80, of Birchton Road, Galway died Sunday, May 18, 2003 at Saratoga Hospital after a long illness. Born in Niskayuna, Mrs. Wright was a lifelong area resident who resided on Birchton Road for over 54 years. Blanche was an actuary clerk for the New York State Retirement System and worked for Saratoga County for over 20 years. Mrs. Wright enjoyed bowling, camping, ceramics and sewing. Mrs. Wright was the widow of Courtney T. Wright, who predeceased her in 1996. She is the mother of Patricia Phelan (Terry) of Albany and the late Edythe Stoliker; sister of Jane West of Saratoga; sister-in-law of Carlton Wright of Schenectady. She was the proud grandmother of three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Services will be held Thursday 7 p.m. at the Richard J. Ryan Funeral Home, Inc., Galway Village. Burial will be in Catskill Cemetery. Memorial contributions may go to Galway Volunteer Ambulance, Harmony Corners Fire Department or the Rubin Dialysis Center of Saratoga.
