Obituary of Billy Williams


WILLIAMS Billy Williams, beloved husband, stepfather, and friend, passed away February 2, 2005. Born in Valdosta, GA on December 17, 1916, Billy was the son of Andrew Clinton and Mattie Geiger Williams. His kind, gentle, and loving presence will be greatly missed. Mr. Williams served in the US Navy During World War II. After the war, he worked for the Civilian Conservation “CCC” Corp. for a year, followed by the City of Jacksonville for 42 years as a Security Officer. Mr. Williams was preceded in death by his brothers Fred and Thomas, and sisters Martha and Gladys. He is survived by his wife, LaRue Williams, brothers Roger, Glen, and Dale, sisters Mary and Eleanor, and stepchildren Marjorie Hartman, Elizabeth Parrish, and Ernest Boyner, four stepgrandchildren, and four great step grandchildren. Graveside services will be held Saturday at 10:00 AM in Evergreen Cemetery (Gate #6) with Rev. Chris Coram officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family is kindly requesting that donat ions be made to the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 21475, St. Petersburg, FL 33742.
