Beverly-Raymond Anderson, died. Please consult the obituary here:
Beverly Raymond Anderson April 16, 1943 December 25, 2006 Bev passed from this earthly life to be with his Heavenly Father following his struggle with cancer. He faced this difficult time the way he lived his life: that is with faith, hope, courage, and above all grace. He is now reunited with his loving mother Marjorie and father Raymond. Bev had two career choices as a young person that he hoped to fulfill during his working years. While he was teaching elementary school in Alberta, Bev's first opportunity to fulfil one of his career choices came when he was selected to join the Ice Capades Show. He toured with the show from 1969-1984. These were some of the best years for Bev as he formed life-time friends, enjoyed travel and creative fulfillment. Skating remained a life long interest and passion. He later moved to Phoenix and was employed with the Harlem Globetrotters until returning to Saskatoon in 2000 where he was employed by McKagues Funeral Chapel. Bev's second career choice became a reality when he was appointed as church administrator for Redeemer Lutheran Church where he actively served that congregation until his passing. Bev was a gentle treasure and a blessing to us all, always putting others needs in front of his own. He was a man of spirit, mission and purpose. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his brother Ron (Leona) and sister Marilyn (Ron) of Saskatoon, niece Cheryl-Lee Fast (Milan, Alexia) of Vancouver, nephew Todd (Mary, Caitlyn, Sarah) of Oromocto, NB and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and special friend Margaret Lissel. Thanks to the Palliative Home Care Nurses, Dr. Stakiw and staff of the Palliative Care Unit at St. Paul's Hospital. A visitation for family and friends will be held at McKagues' Funeral Chapel (3rd Ave & 20th Street) Friday Dec. 29, 2006 from 7:00 9:00 p.m. A Celebration of Bev's life will be held at Redeemer Lutheran Church (812 Preston Ave. South) Saturday Dec. 30, 2006 @ 1:00 p.m. officiated by Pastor Bruce Ehlert, followed by burial at First Saskatchewan Lutheran Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Palliative Care Unit at St. Paul's Hospital or the Heart & Stroke Foundation (279 3rd Ave. North, Saskatoon, SK, S7K 2H7). Arrangements are entrusted to John Janex, McKagues Funeral Chapel, 664-3131. Deep in our hearts your memory is kept. To have, to cherish and never forget.
