December 16, 2007 Betty Zieber Reid, 86, of East Syracuse, died Sunday. Born in Virginia, she graduated from Temple University in 1942. In 1977, she retired from Olney High School, Philadelphia, PA, where she had taught physical education and health as well as coached sports and dance for 33 years. She had also worked Hancock Airport Security until 2001. Her husband, James A. Reid, predeceased her in 1992. Surviving are her daughter, Gail Reistrom of East Syracuse, and her two granddaughters, Christine (Clifton Gay) Reistrom and Janet (Matthew) Reistrom-Goncalves. Services will be 7 p.m. Thursday, December 20, 2007, at Fergerson Funeral Home. Friends may call on Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m., prior to services, at the funeral home, 215 South Main Street, North Syracuse. Burial will be in Drexel Hill, Pennsylvania.
