Hartselle<!--Hartselle-->Funeral for Betty Sue Brock, 74, of Hartselle will be Friday, July 31, 2009, at 11 a.m. at Salem United Methodist Church with the Rev. Lillian Eddleman officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. The body will be at the church one half hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Salem Cemetery. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home. Mrs. Brock, who died Tuesday, July 28, 2009, at Hartselle Medical Center, was born Sept. 15, 1934, in Tennessee to John Orr and Bonnie Collins Orr. She was a Christian mother and wife and a member of Salem United Methodist Church. She loved flowers. Survivors include one son, J. Shane Brock of Decatur; one daughter, Jenny Lynn Meares of Hartselle; two brothers, Teddy Orr of Hampton, Tenn., and Eddy Orr of Elizabethton, Tenn.; one sister, Patsy Miller of Harrisburg, N.C.; five grandchildren, Zach Brock, E.J. Smith and his wife, Jennifer, Meredith Meares and her fiance&#8217;, Derrick Wellborn, Sarah Meares and Trey Meares; and one greatgrandchild, Brock Meares. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Meals on Wheels.
