ROSE Betty Sager Rose, a life long resident of Jacksonville, passed away on April 17, 2008. She graduated from Lee High School and Florida State College for Women (FSU). She retired from DCF after over 30 years of dedicated service. After retirement, she devoted many hours volunteering for her synagogue, the Jacksonville Jewish Center, Hospice, Bikkur Cholim, and unselfishly gave her time to anyone who asked her to volunteer. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, William Rose; her daughters, Margaret Rose and Allison Holtz (John); granddaughter, Rachel Gerber; and beloved pet, Bailey. Graveside services will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday , April 22, 2008 at New Center Cemetery (43rd & Liberty) with Rabbi Jonathan Lubliner officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Jewish Family & Community Services Food Bank, or the charity of your choice.
