Betty Ruth Moore Brown May 26, 1926- January 18, 2015 Columbus, GA- Betty Ruth Moore Brown, 88, of Columbus, GA passed away Sunday, January 18th, 2015 at Morningside Assisted Living in Columbus. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Mrs. Brown was born May 26th, 1926 in Bessemer, Alabama, the daughter of Gladys Moore and Jesse Allen Moore. She was the owner/operator of Brown Finance, Inc. and served as a consumer representative on the state board for used car and part dealers. Mrs. Brown was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jackson Frank Brown, Jr. Survivors include her three sons: Thomas W. Brown of Columbus, Dr. Donald F. Brown and his wife Fran of Atlanta, and Timothy A. Brown and his wife Ellen of Houston, Texas; nine grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in memory of Betty Ruth Brown to Columbus Hospice. Cox Funeral Home, Hamilton, in charge of arrangements.
