TUSCALOOSA Betty Ruth Brown, age 65, of Tuscaloosa, died Dec. 25, 2009, at home. Services will be will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Memory Chapel Funeral Home with Ed King officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Gardens with Memory Chapel Funeral Home, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. The body will lie in state one hour prior to services at the funeral home.She was preceded in death by her son, George M. Brown, Jr.; father, Luther Steward; mother, Mary Lucille Steward; sisters, Frances Marie Powell and Glenda Faye Bandy; brothers, Vernon Allen Steward, Curtis Lee Steward, Luther Charles Steward, and David Wilson Steward.Survivors include her husband, George M. Brown; daughter, Pamela Dianne Brown Warren; sons, Robert Calvin Brown and Jerry D' Wayne Brown; sisters, Regina G. Price of Tuscaloosa, Ala., Lynda Kaye Steward of Tuscaloosa, Ala., Mary Steward Allday of Grove Hill, Ala., and Sheila Steward Gibson of Ga.; and brother, Donnie Ray Steward of Dothan, Ala.Pallbearers will be Scott Price, Danny Milligan, Lonnie Brown, Keith Brown, Stacy Frazier, and Chris Poole.Honorary pallbearers are nurses and staff of 6th floor at DCH Regional Medical Center and members of Rosedale Baptist Church.
