Betty M. Brown, 83, died July 2, 2013, at Manor on the Green in Daytona Beach. She was born in Louisville, Ky., and lived in Daytona Beach, coming Vero Beach. She was a former member of Glendale Baptist Church, Vero Beach. She was the former president of the residence council at Manor on the Green. Survivors include her sons, Melvin Allen Jr. and Jason Brown, both of Louisville, Ky., and Jesse Allen of Fredericksburg, Va.; daughter, Vickie Brown of Edgewater; sister, Mary Helen Locey of Fort Pierce; four grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Brown; son, Gregory Allen; brothers, Robert Chasteen and Marshall Chasteen; and grandson, Richard Allen.
