-> Betty Lowe Brown, 77, died Tuesday, June 3, 2003 at Wellstar Kennestone Hospital in Marietta after a short illness. Mrs. Brown had lived in Dallas, GA for the past four years having moved from Savannah where she lived most of her life. She was a communicant of St. James Catholic Church. She was a retired secretary having worked for the Department of Commerce for 20 years and also for Tidelands Community Mental Health Center. Mrs. Brown was preceded in death by her husband, Carl E. Brown. Survivors: daughter and son-in-law, Sharon B. and Thomas Ravita of Dallas; son and daughter-in-law, Carl E. and Debbie Brown, Jr. of Acworth; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; brother, Marion Lowe of Savannah; half-sister, Trudy Lowe of Chattanooga, Tenn.; several nieces and nephews; and her companion, Mr. Peter Rabey of Dallas, GA. Visitation: 6:00-8:00 p.m., Thursday in the chapel of the Hubert C. Baker Funeral Home. Rosary: 7:30 p.m., Thursday in the chapel of the Hubert C. Baker Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial: 11:00 a.m., Friday at St. James Catholic Church with Rev. Adam Kasela officiating. Burial: Greenwich Section of Bonaventure Cemetery.
