COX Betty Lenora Morris Cox, 88, went home to be with the Lord and her beloved husband James on August 25, 2014. She was born on June 19, 1926 to Myrtle Parker Morris and Calvin Morris in Okmulgee, Oklahoma. She married her high school sweetheart James Cox on July 6, 1947 and though her life continued on fully after he died in 1995; she missed him dearly. Betty was an accomplished artist, singer, writer and faithfully served the Lord throughout her life. She is survived by her daughter, Melanie Deighan (Michael); granddaughters, Tricia Liller (Michael) and Mallory Scherr (Tyler); her grandson, Corey Deighan; her brothers Ronald (Joanna) and Aaron; and numerous nieces and nephews. Viewing will be on Tuesday, September 2, 2014 from 10:00 until 11:00 AM in the chapel of Jacksonville Memory Gardens Funeral Home with the service following at 11:00 AM with Pastor Ben Kesselring officiating.
