Mrs. Betty Lee Williams of Elizabeth, N.J., entered into rest on Sept. 16, 2013, at the age of 73. Viewing will be Friday, Sept. 20, from 10 to 11 a.m., followed by the funeral at 11 a.m. at New Hope Memorial Baptist Church, 91 Division St., Elizabeth. Arrangements entrusted to Smith Funeral Home, Elizabeth. Mrs. Williams is survived by a loving family: her husband, Melvin Williams Sr.; five children, Bobby, Melvin Jr., Clarence and Oliver Williams and Shirley Alston; two brothers, Archie and Major Alston; sisters, Goldie Taylor, Mildred Woodard and Geraldine Bullock; 12 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren, and a host of other loving relatives and dear friends.
