Betty-Lee Brown, born in 1952, died. Please consult the obituary here:
Betty Lee Brown was born in Daytona Beach, Florida on June 13, 1952, to Bertha L. Denson and Moses Wilson. She passed away Oct. 1, 2008 at home. She was a Licensed Practical Nurse/Office Manager for Dr. I. Shah. Her previous experience was with Florida Health Care for many years. She was a devoted member of Mount Calvary Pentecostal Assembly where she served as Deaconess and was on the board of various church auxiliaries. She had a very close relationship with her pastors, Doctors Will and Diane Potter. Betty was loved and cherished by many. She loved the Lord very much and loved to sing praise and worship songs. She was known for her culinary skills (especially home-made cakes). We cannot say enough about Betty, other than the fact that she lived her life as an example of God's love. Betty's favorite saying was "it is better to give and to give freely, than to receive." We love you Betty and you will be greatly missed, but our loss is heavens gain. She leaves to cherish beautiful memories her sons, Phillip Denson, Daytona Beach, Ernest Brown (Khamilah), West Palm Beach, Darren Brown, Daytona Beach, Dwayne Brown (Shawneeque) West Palm Beach: daughters, Yolanda Tomlinson (Osrien), and Motica Brown, both of Daytona Beach; brothers, Marion Denson, Daytona Beach; sisters Dorothy McMillian, Daytona Beach, Mable Clark (Nathan), Swainsboro, GA, Linda Davis, Atlanta, GA, Helen Hattan and Dorothea Denson, of Daytona Beach; brothers-in-law, Brian Brown and Mark Brown; 27 grandchildren; and a god-daughter, Antoinette Brown, Daytona Beach. Funeral service will be Saturday, October 4, 2008 at Mt. Calvary Pentecostal Assembly. The service will begin at 12 PM, and Dr. will Potter will be officiating. Service of interment will be at Greenwood Cemetery immediately following the funeral. Calling hours will be today (Friday, October 3), at Herbert Thompson Funeral Home from 5 pm until 8 pm.
