BROWN, BETTY L. Betty Lee Tillman Brown, age 82 of Orange Heights, passed away peacefully Monday, September 7, 2009 at North Florida Regional Medical Center in Gainesville. She was born July 13, 1927 in Orange Heights, FL to Floyd and Neva Rushing Tillman. She graduated from Waldo High School. She was a loving wife and mother. She and her husband, Arthur, traveled all over the country with the US Navy. She served as Secretary Treasurer at Sonny's Bar-B-Q for over 20 years. Betty was a member of Orange Heights Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband Arthur E. Brown; daughters, Annette Brown (Michael) Warren of Thomasville, GA, Linda Matta (Chris) Ballance of Orange Heights, FL and Debbie Brown of Tallahassee, FL; son, Jeff (Janice) Brown of Tallahassee, FL; brothers, Sonny (Lucille) Tillman of High Springs, FL. and Bobby (Marsha) Tillman of Orange Park, FL.; sisters, Patsy Tillman of Orange Heights, FL. and B.J. (David) Joiner of Gainesville, FL.; 6 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by brothers, Franklin, Richard and Billy. Memorial Service will be held Friday, September 11, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at WILLIAMS-THOMAS FUNERAL HOME DOWNTOWN 404 NORTH MAIN STREET, with Dr. Don McGarity officiating.
