BROWN, BETTY JOE, 83, of Louisville, passed away Thursday, November 15, 2007 at Baptist Hospital East. Born in Corbin, KY, she was retired from the Kentucky Revenue Department and was a member of St. Matthews United Methodist Church. She is survived by her husband, Clyde W. Brown Jr.; sons, Robert H. Brown (Shan) and Kenneth J. Vermillion; daughter, Karen Freeman (Sam); five grandchildren, Beth Smith, Leslie Reynolds, Erin Freeman and Robert and Nicholas Brown; and three great-grandchildren, Tyler Smith and Cullen and Hayden Reynolds. Her funeral service will be 11 a.m. Monday, November 19, 2007, at St. Mathews United Methodist Church, 319 Browns Lane, with burial in Pine Hill Cemetery in Corbin, KY, the following day. Visitation will be from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Road. Expressions of sympathy may be made to her church.
