Betty Jo Smith MAULDIN, SC-- Betty Jo Smith, 75, of 301 Birchwood Lane, wife of Al Smith, died Monday, June 2, 2009 at Greenville Memorial Medical Center. Born in Harris, NC, she was the daughter of the late Reverend Morris and Lizzie Rumfelt Bridges. Mrs. Smith was retired from Allen Bennett Memorial Hospital and was a member of Five Forks Baptist Church. Surviving in addition to her husband, are a daughter, JoAnn Henderson and her husband, Steve of Inman; a sister, Zip Arledge of Boiling Springs; two grandchildren, Jason Henderson and his wife, Kimberly of Inman, and Matthew Henderson of Inman; a step-daughter, Alicia Allwine of Simpsonville; and a step-son, Brian Smith and his wife, Kaye of Williamston. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Russell D. Bridges. Visitation will be held Friday, June 5, 2009 from 1:30 until 2:45 PM at Five Forks Baptist Church. The funeral service will follow at 3:00 PM in the church. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will be at the residence.
