Untitled BETTY JEAN (MOSS) SMITH 1932 - 2009 Betty left behind for us a note. It said "precious children...honor the Lord Jesus...I pray....be a blessing to many others." Now "absent from the body [and] present with the Lord." On December 29, 2009, Betty completed her Martha role to enjoy her Mary role-being with Jesus. Hiram, Bryan, Julie, Mary, Katie, Parker, Kristin, Benjamin, Sara and Daniel all promise you, Sweetheart, we will, like King David, come to you, because of what Jesus did for us all. Honey, we will be singing some of your favorite songs and listening to a couple of your favorite preachers on Saturday, January 2, 2010 at 11a.m. at Olive Baptist Church. The hour before your memorial service we will be visiting with friends who can come to the auditorium. We hope to see some from the Bible classes you taught over the years. Trahan Family Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Bryan and the kids did a great job Wednesday morning at your graveside. Thanks for the years of your love and faithful service to us and to our Lord. Your old "Emerald" singing group says thanks for their memories.
