<!-- FH = The Kennedy Mortuary -->Betty Jean ReidLaurensBetty Jean Reid, 84, of 112 Todd Avenue, passed away on Thursday, April 11, 2013, at Martha Franks Baptist Retirement Community.Born in Columbia, she was a daughter of the late John Jones and Florence Beatrice McDaniel Reid. Betty was a member of First Presbyterian Church where she was a former Sunday School teacher and also Alpha Delta Kappa Sorority. She taught school in Kingstree, Clinton High School, and Laurens Academy for over 40 years.Surviving are a sister, Claire Taylor and husband Bill; a niece, Ann Reid Taylor; a nephew, James "Shot" Taylor and wife Drenda, all of Laurens; three great nephews, Scott Taylor and wife Raegan, Eric Taylor and wife Beth, and Reid Taylor and wife Laura; four great great nieces, Jordan, Grayson, Mackenzie, and Lexi; a great great nephew, Jack; and a very special cat, Pierre.Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Sunday, April 14, 2013, at The Kennedy Mortuary Chapel conducted by Rev. Marc Coker and Rev.
