Obituary of Betty-Jean Jones


Betty Jean Jones Socastee Betty Jean Jones, age 75, loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother died on Friday, April 18, 2014 at her residence. Born in Alma, GA, she was a daughter of the late Harvey and Georgia Cribb. Mrs. Jones retired from Thomas Management. She enjoyed cooking, loved her church and was the type of person who everyone wanted as a neighbor. She was preceded in death by her husband William Joseph Jones, Sr. and her sisters Doris Masters and Ann Summer. Survivors include her children William J. "Billy" Jones, Jr (Cindy) of Little River, Wanda Jones Bellamy (Carl) of Socastee; 6 grandchildren, Joey Jones (Cassandra), Jennifer Wood (Stan), Rachel Hayes (John), Richard Bellamy, Sarah Coates and Rebecca Coates; 8 great-grandchildren, Rebecca, Abigail, Jada, Jordan, Jayla, Emma Grace, Will and Isabelle and a sister Hazel Sturkey A Funeral Service will be held 2:00 pm, Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at Lakewood Pentecostal Holiness Church. Interment will follow at Ocean Woods Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday, April 21, 2014 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Beach Chapel.
