Betty J. Jackson, 63 of Seymour passed away Sunday, Nov. 22, 2009, at St. Vincent Heart Center of Indianapolis. Betty was born Oct. 24, 1946, in Seymour to the late Nelson and Doris (Blickenstaff) Lewis. She was the widow of Dan Jackson, who passed away June 14, 2005. Betty is survived by one daughter, Chris (Tim) Narber and two grandchildren, Rachel Taskey and Christian Narber. She is also survived by one brother, Alan (Lisa) Lewis, and two sisters, Jackie (Jeff) Evans and Janet (Vickie McCaffree) Lewis. Other survivors are one aunt, Kay Lewis; a cousin, Anita (Mark) Lee; and a niece and nephew and two great-nieces and her beloved dog, Nutmeg. Betty was a 1964 graduate of Shields High School and a 1965 graduate of Sullivan Business Collage. She attended First Baptist Church of North Vernon. She was a member and treasurer of AARP in Jackson County, Hearts of Home Ec Club of Seymour, Euchre and Bridge Club at the Seymour Elks Lodge and Teacher's Wives (Adoptee). Betty was an avid beekeeper, loved to travel, read and enjoyed bowling. Betty was preceded in death by her parents and husband. Funeral service will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday with Pastor Bob Weeks officiating. Friends may call at Voss Chapel, Seymour, from 3 p.m. until time of service Tuesday. Cremation will follow, as requested by Mrs. Jackson, with Tri-County Crematory, Seymour.
