Betty-Jean-Driggers-Mincey Smith, spouse of James-Earl Mincey, died at 72 years old.
Mrs. Betty Jean Driggers Mincey Smith - Brooklet -Mrs. Betty Jean Driggers Mincey Smith, 72, died Tuesday at the East Georgia Regional Medical Center. The native and life long resident of Bulloch County retired from ITT Grinell as a fork lift operator after many years of service. She attended the Gospel Baptist Church. Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her first husband, James Earl Mincey. Surviving are her husband, William Smith of Brooklet; eight sons and daughters in law, Dennis and Pam Mincey of Portal, Wayne and Sue Mincey of Bulloch County, Richard and Terry Mincey of Bulloch County, Calvin and Diane Mincey of Statesboro, Edgar and Barbara "Janie" Mincey of Brooklet, Clinton and Tina Mincey of Statesboro, Terry "Mincey" and Sandra Mincey of Claxton and Donnie and Tracy Mincey of Brooklet; two sisters, Martha Shuman and Elizabeth Brinson both of Eden and a brother, Buck Driggers of Eden. 26 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren also survive. Visitation will begin Friday at 4:00pm at the funeral home. Funeral services for Mrs. Smith will be held Saturday at 11:00am in the chapel of Joiner-Anderson Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Leefield-Corinth Cemetery. Pallbearers will be sons. Friends may sign the online register book at www.joineranderson.com .
