Smith, Betty JaneMay 26, 2011Betty Jane Smith, 87, of Sarasota, formerly of Eldora, Iowa died May 26, 2011.Memorial mass will be 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Martha's Catholic Church in Sarasota. Survivors include her daughter, Theresa Gilbertson of Sarasota; son Lawrence of Boca Raton; sister Doris Larson of Story City, Iowa; and three grandchildren.Betty was Eucharistic Minister for St. Martha's Catholic Church, and a founding member of the Sarasota Kiwanees. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Tidewell Hospice.
