Service will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Glencoe-Hokes Bluff Funeral Chapel for Betty Jackson, 62, Gadsden, who died Tuesday, Dec. 25, 2007. The Rev. Steve Trader will officiate. Burial in Pilgrim's Rest Cemetery. Glencoe-Hokes Bluff Funeral Chapel is in charge.Mrs. Jackson attended Dwight Baptist Church. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister, who will be greatly missed. She was the best grandmother there ever was.She was preceded in death by her parents, Marvin and Grace Hollis; brother, Danny Hollis; and sisters, Kathy Ramsey and Sue Hollis.She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Bobby Jackson; son, Bobby (Tina) Jackson; grandson, Aidan Jackson; sisters, Carolyn Mursch, Debrah Mayo, Peggy (Sonny) Kerr, Darlene (Mike) Jacobs, Evelyn Braswell and Tammy (Doug) Hood; brother, Jimmy (Kathy) Hollis; and a host of nieces and nephews.Pallbearers will be family and friends.Special thanks to the doctors and nurses in ICU at Riverview Regional Medical Center.The family will receive friends two hours prior to the services at the funeral home.
