Obituary of Betty-J. Sullivan


Sullivan, Ms. Betty J., 76, born in Marvel, Alabama, went home to be with the Lord on May 7, 2013. She died peacefully at Cherokee Angels Assisted Living in her sleep after a long battle with Alzheimer's. Funeral services are scheduled for 2 pm Saturday, May 11, 2013 at Calvary Baptist Church. The family will receive friends at the church on Saturday from 12 pm until 2 pm. Ms. Sullivan was a civil servant with the Lauderdale by the Sea Police Dept. in Broward County, FL. for over 25 years starting in 1968 and she retired as a Sergeant. She enjoyed gardening and was master gardener. She was a passionate reader and her favorite author was Louie Lamour. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert J. Sullivan, son, Robert Ernest Farmer, five sisters and one brother; survivors include her sister, Joyce Greene of Knoxville, TN; sons, Wendell (Judy) Colston of Houston, TX, Jonathan (Heather) Farmer of Margate, FL, William (Maryann) Farmer of Columbiana, AL, Barry Farmer, Brian (Teresa) Farmer and Phillip (Tiffiany) Farmer all of Canton, GA; twelve grandchildren; five great-grandchildren. Plants accepted or in lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Calvary Baptist Church, 137 Hightower Rd., Ball Ground, GA. 30107.
