Athens - Betty J. Smith, 49, of Athens, died August 29, 2005. Services will be at 2 p.m. at Sweet Home Baptist Church, Bostwick. Interment will be in First St. Paul Cemetery, Appalachee. Survivors include daughters Demetricia, Lawanda, Michaela; sisters Mamie Norwood, Leila Elder, Fannie Kemp, Gloria Moon, Alpha Hardy, Patricia Muhammad; eight grandchildren. Mack & Payne Funeral Home, Athens has charge of arrangements.
