ObituaryBetty J. Brown, 78, of N. Fort Myers, FL, formerly of Monon, IN died on April 30, 2010 at her home after a long illness. She was born on April 23, 1932 in Lafayette, IN to Howard Northrup and Frances (Harter) Northrup Taylor and was devoted to her family.She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Richard "Dick" R. Brown, her children, Thomas (Patty) Brown of Cape Coral, FL, Sharon (Ron) Allen of Reynolds, IN, Sheila (Gary) Gilmore of Reynolds, IN and Pamela (Mike) Hoover of Columbia, SC,11 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, sister Madonna (Lee) Strellner of Columbus, IN and brother, George V. (Connie) Taylor, Jr. of Isle of Capri, FL. She was preceded in death by daughter, Nancy Brown, two great-grandchildren, Bryce and Bradie Benner and two brothers, Leon and Gene Northrup.A Memorial Service officiated by Rev. Andrea Bremmer will be held on Sunday, May 9, 2010 at 2:00 PM in the Reynolds United Methodist Church, Church Street & US 24 E, Reynolds, where the family will receive friends after 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be made to Hope Hospice, 9470 HealthPark Circle, Fort Myers, FL 33908.
