-> Stilson - Mrs. Betty Hord Brown, 71, died Friday , July 11, 2003 at her residence under the care of Ogeechee Area Hospice. The Gastonia, N.C. native, and former resident of Savannah, retired from the Hunter Army Airfield PX as Head Cashier. She was a member of the Old Fellowship Baptist Church. Survivors: husband, John M. Brown of Stilson; two daughters and a son-in-law, Linda and M.E. Brown of Dashers Landing and Debra Cooler of Guyton; son and daughter-in-law, Lloyd Moore Jr. and Mary Ann of Guyton; two sisters, Martha Houser of Denver N.C. and Mary Ann Head of Lincolnton, N.C.; two brothers, Charlie Hord of Denver, N.C. and Steve Hord of Lincolnton, N.C. six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren. Visitation 5:00-9:00 p.m., Saturday, at Joiner-Anderson Funeral Home. Funeral Services: 3:00 p.m., Sunday at the Old Fellowship Baptist Church with Rev. Reland Morgan officiating.
