Funeral services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Morgan Funeral Chapel for Mrs. Betty Gail McKenzie, 71, Southside, with the Rev. Kenneth Bailey officiating. Burial will be at Rainbow Memorial Gardens. Morgan Funeral Chapel & Crematory directing.Mrs. McKenzie died Saturday, March 3, at the residence. Betty was a longtime resident of Etowah County and a graduate of Etowah High School. She attended Southside Baptist Church and was a member of the Red Hat Society. Mrs. McKenzie was preceded in death by her husband, Ret. Major Billy J. McKenzie; and brother, Emery E. Nash.Survivors: daughter, Rene Reagan (Adam), Southside; son, Brice McKenzie (Janell), Columbus, Ga.; brother, Richard Nash (Patty), Altoona; and numerous nieces and nephews. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 5:30 to 8 this evening.
