Obituary of Betty-Enid Henderson


HENDERSON, Betty Enid Passed away in Victoria, September 18, 2005. Born 1919 in Acton, Middlesex, England, Betty was in the WAAF and came to Canada as a war bride. After going to Art College, she trained in dress designing. Her earliest job in Canada was sketching clothing advertisements for Simpson's/ Eatons in Toronto. She also created her own designs and weaving, using the trade name "Enid ". Her talent was expressed throughout her life in artwork and crafts and in teaching. Betty trained also as a Cytology Lab Technician, working in several hospitals and clinics in the Toronto area, accompanied by her longtime friend and companion, Margie. After Margie's death, Betty moved to Victoria in 2001. She leaves son Bill Henderson in Regina and sister Valerie Hobson in Victoria. No service by request. Donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. 158171
