Decatur<!--Decatur-->Graveside service for Betty Cowden Jones, 83, of Decatur will be Monday, April 30, 2007, at 10:30 a.m. at Decatur City Cemetery with the Rev. Roger Jenkins officiating and Roselawn Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Mrs. Jones, who died Thursday, April 26, 2007, at Summerford Nursing Home, was born Nov. 22, 1923, in Horatio, Ark. She attended Judson College in Marion. She was a Realtor for a number of years in Decatur. She was chapter manager of the American Red Cross of Morgan County from 1974 to 1986. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, T.M. Jones III; daughter, Rebecca Jones Conroy of Decatur; son, T.M. Jones IV and wife, Glynis, of Birmingham; two grandchildren, Allison Conroy Jenkins and T.M. Jones V; and one great-grandchild, Kelsey Jenkins. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the American Red Cross of Morgan County, 431 Holly St. NE, Decatur, AL 35601.
