Athens - Betty Hampton Clark, 77, wife of the late Carl B. Clark, died Friday, October 7, 2005.Born in Bibb County, GA, she was the daughter of the late Charles Preston Hampton and Bessie Mae Tyler Hampton. She was a very active member of Tuckston United Methodist Church.Survivors include her daughters, Mitzi Brown of Athens, Carlos Johnson of Winterville, sisters Virginia Hartz of Macon, Loyce Gratham of Lakeland, FL, Mary Ann Kinsey of North Carolina, four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.A memorial service will be Monday, October 10, 2005 at 1PM at the Chapel of Tuckston United Methodist Church with Revs. Doug Thrasher and Lee McNeal officiating.Flowers accepted or memorials may be made to the American Parkinson Disease Association, Inc., 135 Parkinson Avenue, Staten Island, New York 10305.Lord & Stephens, EAST is in charge of arrangements.
