She was a long time member of Sharon United Methodist Church, a member of the Eastern Star and a professional quality seamstress making men's suits and ladies gowns. She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Tim Brown and her 60 year old daughter, Cindy Howell of St. Louis, MO. She is survived by her brothers, Robert B. Childress of Murfreesboro, TN, Franklin N. Childress of Trezevant, TN, Melvin O. Childress of Issaquah, WA and Andy P. Childress of Mt. Laurel, NJ, and a granddaughter, Katy Howell of St. Louis, MO.SERVICES: Memorial services will be held 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 26th at Sharon United Methodist Church in Sharon, TN.
