Betty Lou Brown Garden City, SC Thursday, March 20, 2014, Betty Lou Courtney Brown was called home by her Lord. Betty was born in Charlotte, NC on June 19, 1928. She was the daughter of A.C. & Myrtle T. Courtney. She married Joe Brown on December 16, 1946 and they celebrated their 67th anniversary in December. Betty is predeceased by her husband, Joe Brown and their son, Mike Brown. She is survived by son, David Brown and his wife Sylvia of Charlotte, son, Steve Brown and his wife Renee of Myrtle Beach, daughter, Linda Phillips and her husband Randy of Surfside Beach, SC. Betty will be missed by her 9 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and her great great granddaughter. Betty is also predeceased by her parents and her two brothers, T.C Courtney and Max Courtney. Betty was cherished by her family and her life long friends and she will be deeply missed. The funeral will be held on Monday, March 24 at Woodlawn Baptist Church at 4622 Nations Crossing Road, Charlotte, NC. Visitation at the church will be at 10:30 and the funeral at 11:00.
