Betty Brown, 80, died Oct. 11, 2008, at St. Lucie Medical Center in Port St. Lucie. She was born in Akron, Ohio, and lived in Port St. Lucie for 28 years, coming from Miami. Before retirement, she was employed at Kmart for 36 years. Survivors include her daughter, Tammy J. Begley of Port St. Lucie; sons, Christopher Dallas Brown of Port St. Lucie, Dallas C. Brown of Homestead and Tim W. Brown of Port St. Lucie; sisters, Shelvie Dubree of Smithsgrove, Ky., and Wanda Smith of Livingston, Tenn.; brothers, Finas Buck of Doylestown, Ohio, and Billy Buck of Akron; and three grandchildren. SERVICES: Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Oct. 17 at Whitson Funeral Home in Cookeville, Tenn. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Oct. 18. A local service will be conducted at a later date. Arrangements are by All County Funeral Home and Crematory Treasure Coast Chapel.
