SPARTANBURG, SC-- Betty Ruth Blalock Brown, 70, of Spartanburg, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 10, 2007, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Born February 24, 1937, in Spartanburg, SC, she was the daughter of the late Plato and Ruth Suddeth Blalock and was reared in the home of her aunt, the late Angie Powell. She was a member of Cherokee Springs Baptist Church.Survivors include a daughter, Karen Bright and her husband Johnny of Spartanburg; three sons, Randy Brown and his wife Vickie, David Brown and his wife Linda, and Chuck Brown, all of Pacolet; a brother, Leon Blalock and his wife Jean of Spartanburg; grandchildren, Chasidy Crisp and her husband Brian, Heather Roberts and her husband Cody, Heath Brown and his wife Valeen, Dasia, Dayla, Austin, and Landon Brown, and Heather and Larren Pettit; and great-grandchildren, Aubrey Crisp, Destiny Roberts, Will and Ian Brown. She was predeceased by a brother, Bill Blalock.Visitation will be 6:30-8:00 PM Thursday, April 12, 2007, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, April 13, 2007, at Cherokee Springs Baptist Church conducted by the Rev. Rick Robison and Mr. Johnny Bright.
