SIMMONS, Ms. Bessie, a resident of Apt. 11, Cherry Laurel, Union Springs, AL, passed away Thursday, April 5, 2001. Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 12, 2001 at 1:00 p.m. from the St. Mark A.M.E. Church, Union Springs, AL with Rev. Richard Street officiating. Burial will follow in Mason Cemetery with the Staff of Memory Chapel Funeral Home Directing. She leaves to cherish her memories a devoted mother, Luevener Simmons; one son, Tracy Lee Simmons, (formerly of Union Springs, AL), Montgomery, AL; two sisters, Linest Simmons Smith, Montgomery, AL and Johnnie Lue Moody, Jacksonville, FL; two brothers-in-law, Sammie Smith, Montgomery, AL and Willie Moody, Jacksonville, FL; one aunt, Leola Dent, Union Springs, AL; a special niece, Cherrica Simmons, Montgomery, AL; a devoted cousin, Annie Ruth Jenkins, Union Springs, AL; one nephew, Northfolk, VA; several nieces, cousins, other relatives and friends.
