Bessie Mae Davis, age 94, went home to be with our Lord Jesus Christ on Sunday, October 19, 2008, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She was born in Eastland County, Texas on  September 11, 1914.  She met her husband, Haskell Davis, in O'Donnell,Texas and they were married December 24, 1929. Bessie and Haskell were long time ranchers in Milnesand, New Mexico, Fort Sumner, New Mexico and Tucumcari, New Mexico. Bessie is preceeded in death by Haskell in 2002.  Bessie was a member of the Antioch Christian Church in Oklahoma City,Oklahoma.  Bessie will long be remembered for her laugh, her true gift of hospitality and her extraordinary cooking ability.  Bessie is survived by one son, Bob of Clovis, New Mexico and one daugher, Judy of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; 6 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.  Graveside services celebrating her life will be held at Tucumcari Memorial Park Cemetery on Monday, October 27, 2008 ,at 11:00 AM. Officiating will be Nathan Tate with Kenneth Broad assisting.  Arrangements are by Dunn Funeral Home, Tucumcari, New Mexico  575 461-3815.
