Obituary of Bessie Mitchell

MITCHELL, Bessie E. Passed away in Detroit on January 29, 2003 at 95 years of age. Late of Detroit MI. Predeceased by husband LeRoy; parents, Joseph and Margaret Ladd; sons Leroy and Douglas; daughter Gail; brother Forest; and daughter-in-law Dorothy (Browning) Mitchell. She is survived by daughter Guinevere and son Duane; son-in-law, Thomas "Marty" Martin, daughters-in-law Mary (Butler) Mitchell, and Mary (White) Mitchell; 12 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren, family and friends. Visitation on Sunday from 2-9 p.m., with Family Hour from 7-8 p.m. Funeral service in the Chapel of the Morris Sutton Funeral Home, 68 Giles Blvd. E., on Monday, February 3, 2003 at 11 a.m. Rev. Kenneth Thomas officiating followed by interment at Windsor Grove Cemetery. A tree will be planted in memory of Bessie Mitchell in the Morris Sutton Heritage Forest. A dedication service will be held September 28, 2003. All are welcome.
