Bessie Etoyle Sharp Mitchell, 87, Florence, Ala., died Thursday, March 7, 2002, after an extended illness. Visitation will begin at 4 p.m. today at Souls Harbor Apostolic Church. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the church, with burial in Oak Grove Cemetery.Officiating at the funeral will be Pastor Bobby Crosswhite. She was a native and lifelong resident of Lauderdale County.She is survived by her sons, James She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Lee Mitchell; son, Russell Taylor Mitchell; brothers, Edward Sharp and Homer Sharp; sisters, Annie Mae Ragan and Nell Cagle.Pallbearers will include grandsons. Honorary pallbearers will be Chuck Barrett, Johnny Ray, Bobby Griffus, Tim Hollis, Joe Pitts, Berlon Sharp and Michael Goodwin.She was a member of Souls Harbor Apostolic Church.We give honor to God for our mother and honor to our mother for the beautiful Christian life she lived and for the example she left behind.
