Bertha Mae Wrightof OwegoBertha Mae Wright, 84, went to be with her Lord on Saturday, October 23, 2004. Bertha was a lifelong resident of Tioga County and was a member of the Germany Hill United Methodist Church. Bertha's husband, Floyd, passed away in 1985. She was predeceased by her parents, Melvin and Grace (Dawson) VanOstrand; and two brothers and two sisters; and her loving son-in-law, Clinton Harrison. Surviving are her children and spouses, Janet Lippy, S.C., James and Debbie Wright, VanEtten, Flossie Harrison, Owego, Raymond Wright, Owego, Lawrence Wright, Candor, Floyd and Debbie Wright, Owego, Bertha Stead, Johnson City, Bonnie and Jim Miller, Candor, Billy Wright, Owego. Bertha also leaves numerous grand and great-grandchildren, whom she dearly loved. Remembered in her prayers is her oldest grandson, James "Jimmer" Floyd Wright, Jr. to whom she was especially close. Bertha also is survived by her sister, Pauline Padgett, Ithaca; and her dear friend, Susan Newhauser. Bertha was a wonderful and loving Mother, who will be deeply missed.Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Tuesday at the Estey & Munroe Funeral Home, Owego. The Rev. Alice Hartman, Pastor of the Germany Hill United Methodist Church, will officiate. Burial will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery, Spencer. The family will receive friends Monday from 4-7 p.m. at the Estey & Munroe Funeral Home, Owego.
