Bertha Lee Edwards, 90, of Caldwell, N.J., died on Monday, May 10, 2010, at the Mountainside Hospital, Montclair, N.J. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 15, 2010, at 1 p.m. at First Baptist Church, Second and Valley Streets, South Orange, N.J. Visitation is on Friday from 6 to 9 p.m. at the church and on Saturday from 12 noon until time of service. Interment is in Fairview Cemetery, Westfield, N.J. Arrangements are by Woody "Home For Services," Orange. Born in Orange, N.J., Mrs. Edwards was a resident of Caldwell for 56 years. She worked as a buyer for the Prudential Insurance Company for 14 years, retiring in 1981. Mrs. Edwards was the beloved wife of the late Eugene Edd Edwards; loving mother of Gwynndolyn L. Edwards, Esq., Bruce and Eugene Edwards, and the late Ingrid Edwards; devoted grandmother of Audra Brown Dunbar; cherished great-grandmother of Chyna Marie Brown and Mecca Brown, and dear sister-in-law of Vernice Edwards. She is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, grand-nephews, other relatives and friends.
