Bertha Jean Ramsay August 28th, 1925 - December 13th, 2014 It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Jean Ramsay (nee Joyes) at Regina General Hospital on the morning of December 13th, 2014.Jean was predeceased by her loving husband Don, and son John.Born in Conquest, Saskatchewan, Jean was the eldest of six children born to parents George and Nella Joyes.Jean is survived by and will be dearly missed by her loving sons Garth (Barbara) and Bob (Michelle). Grandchildren Melissa (Justin), Brittany, Ashley, Matthew, Ryan, Jenna and Great-grandson Aidan. She is also survived by her beloved brother Gordon.After her childhood and school years in Conquest, Jean moved to Saskatoon in 1943 to pursue her dream of becoming a Registered Nurse. She attended St. Paul's School of Nursing and graduated with honors in 1947. Her new career eventually took her to the Qu'Appelle Valley, where she met the love her life, Don Ramsay, who she married in 1951. Jean and Don lived happily in Qu'Appelle for many years, until she retired from nursing.Jean spent most of her retired years in Saskatoon where she volunteered her time to numerous summer camps and was an active member at her local church.Her family would like to pass on many thanks to the caregivers at Bentley Manor in Saskatoon, Marion Chateau in Regina and the wonderful staff at Regina General Hospital. A Celebration of Life and reception will be held in Saskatoon at Calvin-Goforth Presbyterian Church, 1602 Sommerfield Ave. on Thursday, December 18th at 12:00PM.
