Bernice Colleen Jones was born November 7, 1930, in Washington D.C., and passed away on Sunday, April 27, 2008. She was married to Richard Lee Jones on November 12, 1954, and resided in Rogersville, Mo. Bernice was a long time member of the Jehovah's Witnesses Beacon Hill Congregation. Bernice was a housewife and wonderful mother to her children and grandchildren. She was always known as having a bright smile and great sense of humor. Bernice was a lover of seafood, music and old movies. She was a wonderful cook and known for making the best fried chicken and lasagna ever! Bernice is survived by her children, Robert and Karen Jones, Richard and Karen Jones, Valerie Smeltz, Roy Jones and Rachel Crank; her grandchildren, Stephanie and Jeff Gamel, Chantelle Short, Justin and Louise Jones, Travis Jones, Justin and Jessica Faulkner and Madeline Laird; and great-grandchildren, Logan and Emily Jones. Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. on Friday, May 2, 2008, in Rivermonte Memorial Gardens.
