Retired Farmer WAYNESBORO, Ga. - Benjamin Kennedy "BK" Anderson, 94, entered into rest on May 9, 2006 at his residence. Mr. Anderson was born in Augusta, Georgia on April 21, 1912 to the late Benjamin F. and Maggie Kennedy Anderson. He was self-employed as a farmer residing in Burke County since 1952. Former chairman of the school board in Midville, Georgia for many years, past chairman of the Board of Deacons of Midville Baptist Church and Dunbarton Baptist Church, he was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Waynesboro. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 11, 2006 at 10:30 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church of Waynesboro with Dr. David Carter and Rev. Marshall Singletary officiating. Graveside services will be held Thursday, May 11, 2006, at 2:00 p.m. at Williston Cemetery in Williston, S. C. with Rev. Posey Belcher officiating. Pallbearers are Robert Gratis, Jay Schumpert, James Howell, Bill Craven, Henderson Upchurch, and Thomas Black. Survivors include two sons, Benjamin K. Anderson, Jr. of Clarksville, Georgia, and John Russell Anderson, Sr. of Waynesboro, Georgia; two step-daughters, Linda Dinkins of Augusta, Georgia, and Kathy Dinkins Evans of Marietta, Georgia; a grandson, John Russell Anderson, Jr. of Waynesboro and a step-grandson, John Dinkins Evans of Marietta.
