RAYMOND -- Beatrice M. Carter, 85, died April 20, 2011, surrounded by family. He was born on April 27, 1925, in Lowell, Mass., to Thomas and Mary (Camarcho) Rebal. She lived in Woburn for 83 years before moving to Raymond. She attended Woburn High School and was a parishioner of St. Anthony Church. She was a homemaker and mother of eight children who entered the workforce once her children were grown. She sewed clothes for Vogue Doll Company for several years and then began working in the Winchester Hospital coffee shop where she stayed for 15 years. She loved to shop and had a knack for seeking out incredible bargains, but her true enjoyment was Bingo. She would often go to Bingo seven days a week. She was a strong, yet soft-spoken woman who never uttered a harsh word. She was loving, caring and kind. Family includes children Ernest Carter, Dennis Carter and Robert Carter, all of Woburn, Mass., Marylou Carter of Raymond, Morgan Carter of Woburn, Paul Carter of Jacksonville, Fla., Marie McGarry of Woburn and Beverly Carter of Woburn; 23 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her longtime companion and dearest friend, Genarro Vozzella. SERVICES: Hours of memorial gathering are 1 to 3 p.m. Wednesday, with a memorial service at 3 p.m. at Phaneuf Funeral Homes & Crematorium, 243 Hanover St., in Manchester.
