THOMPSON, Barbara - At her home in Caledon on Thursday, April 9, 2009, Barbara Thompson, loving mother of Andrew (Grace), Jane and John. Proud grandmother of eight. Predeceased by her dear husband, "Sandy", sister Marion and brothers Ronald and Jack. Survived by sister Jean (Jack) and brothers Fred (Norma) and Eric (Honour) of Northern Ireland and Norman of King City, Ontario. Barbara came to Canada in 1951. She spent her working career as a Registered Nurse at Peel Memorial Hospital in Brampton. Many thanks to the many neighbours who provided her with help and friendship that allowed her to stay in the home that she and Sandy built. Visitation is at Ward Funeral Home, 52 Main St. S., Brampton on Monday the 13th of April from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Service is at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the funeral home.
