Obituary of Barbara Sullivan


SULLIVAN Barbara Sullivan passed away Tuesday, Oct. 25, 2005 at Westminster Woods on Julington Creek in Jacksonville, Florida after a long illness. She was born July 15, 1935 in Starke, Florida to Olen and Wilma Ray. Barbara graduated from Monticello High School, Monticello, Florida and attended St. Luke's School of Nursing. She worked for many years as a nurse and was a loving mother and homemaker. She was predeceased by her son, Michael, her brother Marshall Ray (Diane) and is survived by her son, John, wife Wendy, and their sons, Stuart and Matthew, and Michael's sons, Michael Jr. Survivors also include sisters Carolyn Cannon (Ray), Judith McClelland (Jim), and Elaine Overby (Buddy), one nephew and two nieces. A memorial service will be held for family and friends at 11 am, Saturday, Nov. 26 (TODAY) at Switzerland Community Church, Rev. Wesley Slough officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, and all are asked to joined in celebrating Barbara's life after the service with a reception in the church's fellowship hall. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made in her name to Northeast Florida Community Hospice, 4266 Sunbeam Rd.
